Description
ANENG CM84 High Precision Digital Clamp Multimeter
The ANENG CM84 Digital Clamp Multimeter is a multifunctional electrical testing instrument designed for measuring AC/DC current, AC/DC voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency and temperature. It combines clamp-style current measurement with standard digital multimeter functions, making it suitable for electrical troubleshooting, electronics repair, automotive testing, DIY projects and general maintenance.
The CM84 features a 4000-count digital display, auto-ranging operation and True RMS measurement. It also includes useful functions such as NCV non-contact voltage detection, diode testing, audible continuity testing, data hold, backlight and flashlight.
1000A AC/DC Current Measurement
One of the main features of the ANENG CM84 Digital Clamp Multimeter is its clamp-based AC/DC current measurement.
The clamp allows current to be measured around a suitable single conductor, without having to disconnect the wire and place the meter in series. The available CM84 specifications list AC and DC current measurement up to 1000A.
For accurate current measurement, only one conductor should be inside the clamp jaws. Clamping multiple conductors together can produce incorrect readings.
600V AC/DC Voltage Measurement
The CM84 supports both AC and DC voltage measurement up to 600V. This makes it suitable for checking batteries, power supplies, electrical circuits and other compatible applications.
The meter provides different measurement ranges and automatically selects a suitable range when operating in auto-ranging mode.
True RMS Measurement
The True RMS function is useful for AC measurements where the waveform may not be a simple sine wave. This makes the CM84 more versatile than a basic digital meter for many electrical and electronic applications.
4000 Counts Display
The ANENG CM84 uses a 4000-count LCD display, providing clear numerical measurement results. The meter also includes polarity indication, over-range indication and low-battery indication.
Auto-Ranging Function
The auto-ranging function helps select the appropriate measurement range automatically. Users can also switch to manual range selection when required using the range control.
Resistance Measurement
The CM84 can measure resistance from 0Ω to 20MΩ, making it useful for checking resistors, wiring, electrical connections and other components. The published accuracy is listed as ±(1.5% + 10 digits).
Capacitance Measurement
The meter supports capacitance measurement across ranges from 4nF up to 4mF. This allows users to test suitable capacitors and electronic components.
Frequency Measurement
The ANENG CM84 provides frequency measurement from 0Hz to 4MHz, making it useful for compatible electronic and electrical signal testing.
Temperature Measurement
The CM84 also supports temperature measurement from approximately -40°C to 1000°C using the appropriate temperature sensor/thermocouple.
NCV Non-Contact Voltage Detection
The built-in NCV (Non-Contact Voltage) function helps detect the presence of AC voltage without directly contacting the conductor with the test probe.
NCV is useful as a quick preliminary detection feature, but it should not replace proper voltage measurement when precise readings are required.
Diode & Continuity Testing
The CM84 includes diode testing and an audible continuity buzzer. These functions are useful when checking electronic components, PCB connections, wiring and electrical paths.
Data Hold Function
The data-hold function allows users to freeze the displayed measurement value, making it easier to record readings when the meter or display cannot be viewed conveniently during testing.
Backlight & Flashlight
The CM84 includes an LCD backlight and built-in flashlight, making it more convenient to use in darker workshops, electrical panels or poorly lit working areas.
Auto Power Off
The meter automatically powers off after approximately 15 minutes without operation, helping conserve battery power.
Compact Handheld Design
The CM84 is designed as a portable handheld testing instrument with an ABS housing. One available manual lists approximately 188g weight and a jaw opening of about 28mm; another source presents different physical dimensions, so for your product listing it is safest to use the dimensions supplied with your actual stock.
